Role Overview
As the Racing Team Manager, you will lead and manage a high-performance racing team, overseeing all aspects of team operations, logistics, and performance optimization. Your strategic vision will drive the team to excel on and off the track, ensuring that we achieve our competitive goals while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the racing team, aligning team goals with overall organizational objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including team logistics, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while promoting professional development.
- Coordinate with engineering, marketing, and support staff to ensure seamless integration and support of racing activities.
- Analyze race performance data and provide actionable insights to enhance team efficiency and competitiveness.
- Manage relationships with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication regarding team activities and performance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in motorsports management or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of racing operations, team dynamics, and performance optimization.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience with budget management and financial oversight in a competitive environment.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within motorsports or a related competitive industry.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies relevant to racing performance.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with racing technologies and performance metrics.
- Proficient in data analysis software and tools for performance tracking.
- Basic understanding of automotive engineering principles as they relate to racing.
