Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Public Relations to lead our organization's communication strategy and enhance our brand reputation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR campaigns that resonate with key stakeholders, including media, customers, and the general public. You will be a strategic partner, working closely with senior leadership to align PR initiatives with organizational goals and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive public relations strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and enhances brand visibility.
- Manage media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to secure positive coverage.
- Oversee the creation of press materials, including press releases, media kits, and op-eds, ensuring high-quality content that reflects the organization’s voice.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, developing strategies to mitigate reputational risks and effectively communicate during challenging situations.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to integrate PR efforts into broader campaigns and initiatives.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing successful PR campaigns.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Strong understanding of media landscape and experience working with various media outlets.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues and develop strategic communication plans.
