Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Research Scientist specializing in Physical Biochemistry to join our dynamic research team. Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to investigate the structure, dynamics, and interactions of biomolecules using techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and circular dichroism.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, utilizing advanced computational tools and statistical methods to derive meaningful insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate biophysical data with biological and clinical observations, driving the development of novel therapeutics.
- Mentor junior scientists and interns, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation within the team.
- Present findings at internal and external conferences, contributing to the scientific community and enhancing the company's visibility in the field.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field with a strong focus on physical biochemistry.
- 5+ years of postdoctoral research experience in a relevant area, with a proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Expertise in biophysical characterization techniques and a deep understanding of molecular interactions.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data interpretation using software such as MATLAB, Python, or R.
Preferred:
- Experience with high-throughput methods and automation in biophysical experiments.
- Familiarity with structural biology techniques, including X-ray crystallography or cryo-electron microscopy.
- Adept at project management and leading interdisciplinary research initiatives.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of biophysical techniques such as NMR, fluorescence, and mass spectrometry.
- Proficient in computational modeling and simulation software for biomolecular systems.
- Experience with laboratory automation and data analysis tools.
