Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Pediatric Dietician to join our dedicated team focused on providing exceptional nutritional care to children. In this role, you will work closely with pediatric patients and their families to develop personalized dietary plans that promote health and well-being, while also gaining valuable experience in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment of nutritional needs for pediatric patients, gathering relevant health history and dietary information
- Support the development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers
- Educate patients and families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and food choices
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, making adjustments to dietary plans as necessary
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship
- Basic understanding of pediatric nutrition and dietary guidelines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a clinical setting, particularly with pediatric populations
- Knowledge of nutrition software and electronic health records
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential or eligibility to sit for the registration exam
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with nutritional assessment tools and dietary analysis software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
