Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nutrition Specialist to join our innovative team focused on optimizing nutritional outcomes for children. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to develop personalized nutrition plans, educate families, and collaborate with healthcare providers to support the health and wellbeing of pediatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for children, considering growth patterns, medical history, and dietary preferences.
- Design and implement tailored nutrition plans that address specific health concerns, food allergies, and developmental needs.
- Provide education and counseling to families on nutrition best practices, meal planning, and healthy eating behaviors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and trends in pediatric nutrition to inform practices and recommendations.
- Track and analyze patient progress, adjusting nutrition plans as needed to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- 2+ years of experience in pediatric nutrition, preferably in clinical settings.
- Strong understanding of nutritional requirements across different stages of childhood.
Preferred:
- Experience working with children with special dietary needs or chronic health conditions.
- Familiarity with nutritional software and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in engaging with children and families.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in nutritional assessment tools and dietary analysis software.
- Ability to utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively.
- Knowledge of community resources and programs related to pediatric nutrition.
