Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Order Desk Manager to lead our order processing operations. This fully remote position is integral to ensuring seamless order management, enhancing customer satisfaction, and optimizing inventory control processes while collaborating closely with sales and logistics teams to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the order desk operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders from receipt to fulfillment.
- Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices for order management to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor order workflows, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions to improve throughput and customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, inventory, and logistics, to ensure alignment on order status and fulfillment timelines.
- Analyze order data and generate reports to provide insights on performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead a team of order processing specialists, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team culture.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in order management or a similar operational role, with a proven track record of improving processes.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in a remote environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with order management systems (OMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Familiarity with supply chain principles and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in order management systems and workflow automation tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
