Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Newspaper Delivery Driver to join our logistics team and ensure timely and efficient delivery of newspapers to our subscribers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing your delivery route effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to our mission of providing quality news to the community.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver newspapers to designated locations within the assigned route
- Manage time effectively to adhere to delivery schedules
- Communicate with the dispatch team regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
- Ensure vehicles are in good working condition and report any maintenance issues
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns from subscribers
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Proven experience in a delivery or logistics role is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Preferred:
- Familiarity with local neighborhoods and routes
- Experience using delivery tracking software or apps
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using GPS navigation systems and delivery management applications
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in deliveries
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes
