Role Overview
As a Motel Front Desk Attendant, you will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. Your role will be pivotal in managing reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and handling administrative tasks to maintain the smooth operation of our motel.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service and assistance
- Manage front desk operations, including processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Handle reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations using our property management system
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure room readiness and quality
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while managing inventory of supplies
- Process payments and manage cash handling accurately
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role
- Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with reservation systems
Preferred:
- Experience in a front desk or receptionist role in a hospitality setting
- Familiarity with payment processing and cash handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency with property management software and reservation systems
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
