Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mill Supervisor to lead our operations in optimizing production processes and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality within our facility. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to oversee the daily functions of the mill, fostering a collaborative environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily mill operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations while maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mill operators, instilling a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain, to optimize production schedules and resolve operational challenges.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance, coordinating maintenance activities as necessary.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team competencies and ensure adherence to operational best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or milling environment.
- Strong understanding of milling processes, equipment, and safety standards.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving operational excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
- Technical degree or certification in a related field.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
