Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Medical Affairs to lead our medical team in advancing our therapeutic initiatives and enhancing our scientific credibility. This pivotal role will drive the integration of clinical insights into our product strategies, ensuring alignment with our mission to innovate healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy, aligning with corporate goals and objectives.
- Oversee the planning and execution of clinical research initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs, to support product development and lifecycle management.
- Serve as a key scientific resource for internal stakeholders, providing expertise in clinical data interpretation and real-world evidence generation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and external experts to foster collaboration and drive scientific exchange.
- Mentor and develop the Medical Affairs team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and pharmacovigilance.
Preferred:
- Experience in oncology or immunology therapeutic areas.
- Advanced understanding of health economics and outcomes research.
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in clinical data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management software.
- Proficient in utilizing data visualization tools to communicate complex scientific information effectively.
