Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Endowed Chair Professor of Manufacturing Engineering to lead our academic and research endeavors in advanced manufacturing technologies. This role will provide strategic direction and foster collaboration across disciplines, driving innovation and excellence in manufacturing engineering education and research.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cutting-edge curriculum that prepares students for the challenges of modern manufacturing environments.
- Lead and conduct high-impact research in areas such as additive manufacturing, robotics, and smart manufacturing systems.
- Foster partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance research opportunities and align academic programs with industry needs.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated record of research excellence and a strong portfolio of funded research projects.
- Experience in curriculum development and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Preferred:
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary research teams and managing sizeable research grants.
- Recognized as a leader in the field through awards, editorial positions, or contributions to professional organizations.
- Proficiency in the use of advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in advanced manufacturing techniques, including but not limited to additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and automation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems modeling and simulation.
- Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning applications in manufacturing.
