Role Overview
The Lead Glass Installation Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation of leaded glass projects, ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety. You will lead a team of skilled artisans while collaborating closely with architects, designers, and clients to deliver exceptional results that reflect our commitment to quality and artistic integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aspects of leaded glass installation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare detailed installation plans, taking into consideration architectural specifications and safety regulations.
- Lead and mentor installation teams, providing guidance on techniques, safety protocols, and best practices in leaded glass installation.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects and designers, to understand design intent and provide input on technical feasibility.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations during all phases of installation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports on progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure installations meet or exceed client expectations.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the installation team.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in leaded glass installation or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project management.
- Strong knowledge of leaded glass techniques, materials, and installation processes.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring a team of skilled craftsmen.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with historical restoration projects or custom architectural installations.
- Familiarity with glass cutting and fabrication techniques.
- Certification in safety training relevant to construction and installation.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of installation tools and equipment specific to leaded glass.
