Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Laundry Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laundry department. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient processing of linens and garments while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. You will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflows, and implementing best practices in laundry operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding of linens and garments
- Manage and train laundry staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Optimize laundry workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround times
- Maintain equipment and ensure regular maintenance to prevent downtime
- Implement quality control measures to uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and coordinate ordering as necessary
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in laundry operations management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospitality or healthcare laundry environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Certification in laundry or textile management
