Role Overview
We are seeking an Index Editing Manager to lead our editorial team, focusing on ensuring the accuracy and quality of our index content. This role is critical in shaping the editorial standards and processes, while also managing a team of skilled editors and ensuring that our indexing meets the highest industry benchmarks.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the indexing team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of content
- Establish and refine editorial standards and guidelines for indexing, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
- Manage and mentor team members, providing regular feedback and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate indexing strategies into broader editorial and content initiatives
- Analyze indexing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
- Lead quality assurance efforts, conducting regular audits of indexed content to ensure adherence to established standards
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in indexing methodologies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in editorial management or index editing
- Proven track record of developing and implementing editorial standards
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a diverse team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions regarding editorial processes
Preferred:
- Experience in a fully remote work environment
- Familiarity with content management systems and editorial workflows

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
