Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Dining Room Cashier Supervisor to oversee the cash handling operations within our dining establishments. This role is crucial in ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional service to our customers. You will lead a team of cashiers, train staff on best practices, and implement operational procedures that enhance the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cash handling operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
- Lead and mentor a team of cashiers, fostering a culture of excellence and customer service
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve staff performance and operational efficiency
- Monitor cash register operations, including opening and closing procedures, to maintain financial integrity
- Implement and manage inventory controls, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with management to develop and refine operational procedures that enhance the dining experience
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a cashier or supervisory role within the dining or retail industry
- Strong understanding of cash handling procedures and financial reconciliation
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, driving performance and accountability
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash management software
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures
- Prior experience in a high-volume dining establishment
