Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fundraising Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our fundraising initiatives, managing donor relations, and ensuring the smooth execution of fundraising campaigns that align with our mission and goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and campaigns to meet organizational goals.
- Manage donor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all donations and interactions.
- Coordinate fundraising events, including logistics, budgeting, and outreach efforts to maximize participation and revenue.
- Draft and distribute communications to donors, including newsletters, acknowledgments, and impact reports.
- Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and potential donors.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and social media content that highlight fundraising efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in fundraising or nonprofit work.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor management software.
Preferred:
- Experience with event planning and execution.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with CRM systems and fundraising software, such as Blackbaud, DonorPerfect, or similar.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to track fundraising performance.
- Familiarity with online fundraising platforms and payment processing systems.
