Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Supervisor to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food quality and safety standards. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation processes, and maintaining compliance with health regulations while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food preparation activities to ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food safety practices, cooking techniques, and operational procedures
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock control to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Collaborate with chefs and management to develop seasonal menus and innovative dishes that align with our culinary vision
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary
- Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives to meet financial goals while maintaining food excellence
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in food preparation or kitchen management roles, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in training and developing team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications
- Experience with menu planning and cost control strategies
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergen management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
