Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Floral Department Manager to lead our floral team in delivering exceptional floral arrangements and customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing inventory, and ensuring that our floral offerings meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the floral department, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal customer service
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of floral designers and staff, fostering a creative and supportive environment
- Manage inventory levels, sourcing fresh flowers and materials to maintain the department's offerings
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring alignment with customer preferences and trends
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and seasonal displays
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the freshness and presentation of all floral products
- Monitor sales performance and customer feedback to enhance service delivery and product offerings
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in floral design or management, with a strong portfolio of work
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team in a retail or floral environment
- Excellent knowledge of floral varieties, design techniques, and industry trends
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs
Preferred:
- Formal training in floral design or a related field
- Experience with inventory management and point-of-sale systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members
