Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Education to lead our educational initiatives and drive our mission of fostering learning and development. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an educational strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals
- Lead curriculum design and development processes, ensuring alignment with best practices in pedagogy and instructional design
- Oversee the implementation of educational programs, ensuring effective delivery and continuous improvement
- Manage a team of educators and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Establish metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs and initiatives, using data to drive decision-making
- Engage with stakeholders, including educators, students, and community partners, to gather feedback and enhance program offerings
- Stay abreast of trends in education and technology, integrating innovative practices into the educational framework
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in educational leadership roles, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful educational programs
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and instructional methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Preferred:
- Experience in a non-profit or community-focused educational organization
- Familiarity with distance learning technologies and blended learning approaches
- Ph.D. in Education or a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in educational technology platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with data analysis tools to measure program effectiveness and outcomes
- Strong understanding of digital content creation tools and methodologies
