Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Warehousing Specialist to join our data team. In this role, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehousing solutions. You will work closely with senior data engineers and analysts to ensure data is efficiently stored, retrieved, and utilized for decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of data warehousing solutions, focusing on ETL processes and data modeling.
- Support the integration of various data sources into the data warehouse, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Conduct data validation and testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Document data processes and maintain clear communication with team members.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in data management, data warehousing, or related fields.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience in writing queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and basic data modeling principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
