Role Overview
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Data Processing Systems Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data processing systems. In this role, you will utilize your deep technical expertise to architect data pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure data integrity across various platforms and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and enhance our data capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data processing architectures to handle large volumes of data efficiently
- Lead the integration of diverse data sources into cohesive data pipelines while ensuring performance and scalability
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance across all data processing activities
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to define data requirements and deliver robust solutions
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing workflows using frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and others
- Drive technology evaluations and implement new tools and technologies to enhance data processing capabilities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and ETL processes
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Deep knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based data processing solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms
- Certifications in relevant technologies or architectures
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or similar
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or similar
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills, fostering teamwork in a diverse environment
