Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Securities Research to lead our research team in providing high-quality insights and analysis on various securities. This role will be pivotal in shaping our research strategy and driving investment decisions, ensuring that our clients receive unparalleled market intelligence and investment recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of research analysts, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement the overall research strategy, aligning it with the company’s investment philosophy and client needs
- Conduct in-depth analysis of securities, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, to identify investment opportunities
- Oversee the production of research reports, ensuring they provide actionable insights and are delivered in a timely manner
- Engage with clients to communicate research findings and investment strategies, building strong relationships
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that may impact the investment landscape
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in securities research, investment analysis, or a related field
- Proven track record of leading research teams and delivering high-quality investment insights
- Strong understanding of securities markets, investment strategies, and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance) or relevant professional certification (CFA, CAIA)
- Experience with alternative investments and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors
- Network of industry contacts and relationships within the investment community
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in financial modeling software, Bloomberg Terminal, and data analysis tools
- Experience with statistical and quantitative analysis methodologies
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
