Role Overview
We are in search of a visionary VP of Content Strategy to lead our content initiatives and drive our brand narrative across multiple platforms. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive content strategy that resonates with our audience and aligns with our business goals. Your expertise in content development, audience engagement, and analytics will be pivotal in shaping our messaging and enhancing our overall brand presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a holistic content strategy that supports business objectives and enhances brand visibility, including blogs, social media, video, and other digital media.
- Lead a cross-functional team of content creators, editors, and strategists, fostering a collaborative environment focused on innovation and excellence.
- Utilize data-driven insights to refine content initiatives, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in reaching target audiences.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for content performance, monitoring results and iterating on strategies to optimize engagement and conversion.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our content strategy forward-thinking and competitive.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and thought leaders to amplify our content reach.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in content strategy, marketing, or communications, with a strong portfolio of successful content initiatives.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving measurable results through innovative content strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating compelling narratives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and leverage insights to inform content decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a technology-focused or digital-first organization.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, content management systems, and analytics tools.
- Experience in managing and executing large-scale content marketing campaigns.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal, and familiarity with marketing automation platforms.
- Proficiency in analytics tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar tools to track and measure content performance.
- Understanding of multimedia content formats and tools, including video production and graphic design software.
