Role Overview
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Supervisor to lead our team in optimizing the operation and maintenance of our fleet of heavy machinery. In this critical role, you will oversee the performance of heavy equipment operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations while mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of heavy equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Lead and mentor a team of operators and technicians, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and allocate resources effectively for various projects.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operations and supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy machinery and maintenance processes.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or relevant vocational training.
Preferred:
- Experience with project management in a construction or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Technical knowledge of equipment diagnostics and repair.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and software.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
