Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead and elevate our compliance strategy across the organization. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of compliance and ethics while mitigating risks associated with regulatory changes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee compliance audits, assessments, and investigations, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution of compliance issues.
- Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to identify compliance risks and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization, providing timely updates and recommendations to the executive team.
- Lead and mentor the compliance team, instilling a culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on compliance matters.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 15+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, with a focus on financial services or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compliance programs at a senior level.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including anti-money laundering (AML), data privacy, and consumer protection laws.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Preferred:
- Advanced degrees or certifications in compliance, law, or related fields (e.g., JD, CRCM, CCEP).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a demonstrated ability to adapt to change.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in compliance management software and tools for tracking and reporting compliance activities.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools to assess compliance risks and trends.
- Experience with enterprise risk management frameworks and methodologies.
