Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Claims Manager to lead our claims department in delivering exceptional service to our clients while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. In this fully remote role, you will oversee the claims process from initiation to resolution, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the entire claims process, including evaluation, investigation, and negotiation of claims
- Develop and implement claims policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance service delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective communication regarding claims
- Analyze claims data to identify trends, improve processes, and mitigate risks
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards throughout the claims lifecycle
- Provide training and mentorship to claims staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary contact for escalated claims issues, resolving disputes and ensuring customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in claims management or a related field
- Proven track record of handling complex claims and negotiations
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, regulations, and industry best practices
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications in claims management or insurance (e.g., CPCU, AIC)
- Experience with claims management software and data analytics tools
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in claims management systems and software
- Familiarity with data analytics tools to track and report on claims performance
- Experience with CRM systems to manage client relationships and communications
