Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Budget Manager to oversee the planning, development, and execution of the organization's budgeting processes. This role is essential in ensuring that our financial resources are allocated effectively to support our mission while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation and analysis of budget proposals, forecasts, and variance reports
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to gather budget input and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgetary targets, providing insights and recommendations for adjustments as necessary
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making
- Implement and enhance budgeting policies, procedures, and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management, presenting budgetary trends and financial forecasting
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial controls and compliance frameworks
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in budgeting, financial planning, or analysis
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience with financial management software and advanced Excel skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- CMA or CPA certification
- Experience in a managerial role within a corporate finance environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in financial software applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet modeling and data analysis tools
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools for reporting and analysis
