Music Cover Letter Examples

Dear Ms. Thompson,

I am excited to apply for the Music Intern position at Universal Music Group. As a passionate music enthusiast and a recent graduate with a degree in Music Business from Berklee College of Music, I am eager to contribute my skills and creativity to your esteemed organization, which is renowned for its commitment to nurturing talent and innovation in the music industry.

During my time at SoundWave Productions, I had the opportunity to assist in organizing live events and managing social media campaigns that increased our audience engagement by 30%. I collaborated with artists and producers to create promotional materials that effectively showcased their work, which not only enhanced my project management skills but also deepened my understanding of the music marketing landscape. Additionally, my internship at Indie Music Label allowed me to gain hands-on experience in music distribution and copyright management, where I successfully helped streamline the process, reducing turnaround time by 15%.

I am particularly drawn to Universal Music Group's mission of empowering artists and fostering creativity. Your commitment to diversity and inclusion in music resonates with my own values, and I am excited about the possibility of contributing to projects that amplify underrepresented voices in the industry. I believe that my background in music marketing and my passion for discovering new talent would allow me to make a meaningful impact as part of your team.

I would love the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experiences align with the goals of Universal Music Group. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team and learning from the best in the industry.

Sincerely,
Emily Johnson
