The ideal candidate will be excited to take on the challenge of processing, storing and delivering the entire health records of millions of patients, providing low latency and high-availability for all operations. You are creative, innovative and love to run experiments to explore the paths to evolve and develop our platform as we scale.
This is an exciting time to join Zus as we are growing and transforming both the team and our infrastructure to evolve to address the greater scale of data we expect as we grow. Your team will work on data services that operate on large scale data using a variety of AWS services (ECS Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Postgres, S3, etc) that are used both internally and externally. Go is our language of choice and we use Terraform for managing our infrastructure-as-code. The team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and operating its services.
As part of our team, you will
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software developers
- Partner with product managers, engineers, AI/ML experts, healthcare providers and the teams which support them to identify and develop platform use cases, and the associated features and fixes needed to support them
- Take ownership for making sure our business critical services remain safely operational for our customers
- Partner with product management in Agile sprint management rituals
- Work hands on as time allows with Zus codebases
You're a good fit because you...
- Have had some supervisory experience leading software engineers and are excited for more
- Are experienced in building and running large-scale systems in the cloud
- Are experienced in building services and APIs used by third-party developers
- Have experience with operationally stable and cost efficient data stores
- Enjoy owning complete microservices from the infrastructure up
- Have deep experience building backend software in any language (we use mostly Go)
