As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Team Chat and Chat Horizontals team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of workplace collaboration. You’ll design and build high-impact, responsive, world-class user interfaces that power Zoom—used by millions around the globe.

Working closely with product, design, and engineering partners, you’ll deliver high-quality features, influence architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers to accelerate their growth. Responsibilities

• Collaborating with product managers and designers to define requirements and translate the roadmap into actionable features.

• Establishing and upholding best-in-class engineering practices, coding standards, and development processes.

• Designing and implementing responsive, high-quality user interfaces across platforms using modern frontend technologies (React, Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS3).

• Driving performance optimization to ensure fast, reliable, and scalable user experiences.

• Building metrics and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making for technical and business stakeholders.

• Triaging and resolving critical customer issues in partnership with support teams to deliver seamless experiences.

What we’re looking for

• Have bachelor’s in Computer Science, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).

• 5+ years of experience building responsive user interfaces with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-scale web applications, integrating with Web, OAuth, and REST APIs.

• Have experience with CDNs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a solid understanding of scalable, secure deployments.

• Have expertise with build and deployment tools such as Webpack, Vite, Git, and Jenkins.

• Have experience with unit testing, automation, and AI-powered developer tools for productivity, debugging, or prototyping.

• Have familiarity with building agent workflows/features and working with Large Language Models (LLMs).

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
