We are hiring a Motion Designer to own video and motion across Wordsmith. The role requires creating launch videos, feature announcements, social assets, and product storytelling that turns complex workflows into clear, compelling narratives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of motion design experience, ideally in-house at a product or technology company
- Strong reel of shipped work you can talk through clearly
- Excellent taste and high standards for craft
- Strong narrative instincts — you can simplify dense ideas visually
- Ownership mindset — you’re comfortable building a function, not just executing briefs
- High initiative — you spot gaps and move before being asked
- AI-first mentality — you actively use modern tools to increase quality and output
- Advanced skills in After Effects and Figma
- Comfortable in Premiere for editing
- Bonus: Rive, Lottie, GSAP, or web motion
- 3D tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender
- AI video tools
- Experience building reusable motion systems or libraries
