We are seeking a Public Policy Researcher to support the development and refinement of training materials for an upcoming public policy certification that aims at linking rigorous research with practical policymaking. The role offers the rare opportunity to combine academic depth with real-world policy impact while working remotely in a global environment and with a firm with thorough hands-on experience in global policymaking.
Key Responsibilities
• Research and draft training materials across key public policy and economics topics such
as: Policy analysis and design, public finance, economic development, governance, behavioural policy, and
evidence-based policymaking.
• Structure and edit learning content, including slides, learner supporting textbook,
participant guides, and assessment question banks.
• Support the pedagogical design of modules to ensure clarity, engagement, and
alignment with defined learning outcomes.
• Coordinate and upload finalized content to the online learning platform (no prior LMS
experience required).
• Contribute to research inputs for client-facing online programs and workshops
related to the certification themes.
• Conduct benchmarking on best practices in policy training and curriculum design.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Development
Economics, Public Finance, Political Science, or related disciplines.
• 2–5 years of experience in teaching, research, or policy-related work.
• Priority given for experience in university-level teaching or assistant teaching,
ideally in public policy or related fields.
• Ability to critically utilise generative AI tools to support and accelerate research.
• Strong writing, synthesis, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical or academic content into accessible learning material.
• Curiosity about government, public affairs, and education innovation.
