Position Overview
Way Out West Spine and Mobility is seeking a highly organized and bilingual Remote Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while providing essential support to our practice and patients.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls and manage patient communications
Schedule patient appointments and manage the practice calendar
Forward critical information and messages to appropriate team members
Maintain accurate patient records in our electronic medical records system
Provide excellent customer service to patients in both English and Spanish
Handle administrative tasks to support smooth clinic operations
Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch break)
Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Total: 30 hours per week
Required Qualifications
Location: Must be based in Mexico or Colombia
Language: Fully bilingual (Spanish/English) with fluent spoken and written proficiency in both languages
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
Comfort with technology and ability to learn new software systems
Preferred Qualifications
Previous medical receptionist or healthcare administrative experience
Familiarity with Athena EMR (electronic medical records system)
Experience with Intermedia phone system
Knowledge of medical terminology in both English and Spanish
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive pay commensurate with experience, location, and availability
Direct deposit payroll via Gusto (paid twice monthly on the 1st and 15th)
Flexible remote work environment
Vacation schedule negotiable, with preference for alignment with US calendar holidays
