Senior Staff Clinical Evidence Scientist

As a Senior Staff Clinical Evidence Scientist in our Clinical Affairs function within the Spine division, you’ll lead real-world evidence (RWE) generation and global publications and communications strategies — translating complex clinical data into compelling, compliant scientific materials that support regulatory, clinical, and commercial objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the strategy and execution of real-world evidence initiatives, including registries, claims databases, and observational studies to support clinical and commercial goals
- Identify, establish contracts with, and generate reports from relevant RWE databases and registries
- Initiate and manage Investigator Initiated Studies, research contracts, and associated deliverables while ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards
- Develop and execute comprehensive scientific communication strategies, including peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, presentations, brochures, and lay summaries
- Collaborate with clinicians and internal teams to generate protocols and support data mining for scientific and commercialization insights
- Create high-quality, accurate, and compliant scientific communications assets for internal and external audiences (HCPs, KOLs, payors, etc.)
- Coordinate publication planning, timing, and content strategy while ensuring alignment with business objectives and differentiation from competitors
- Work cross-functionally with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and external partners to align evidence generation and dissemination
- Develop and maintain dashboards tracking clinical data, research activities, milestones, and financials; present updates to internal stakeholders
- Support evidence-led conversations with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders while maintaining full compliance
- Identify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within the scientific communications function
- Manage external vendors and ensure cost-effective development of materials in line with internal policies
What You Bring:
- Ph.D. or other advanced degree in a health-related field (RN, BSN, BPharm, MD, MPH) is highly preferred
- 6+ years of industry experience in clinical, healthcare, or medical affairs roles (medical device or pharmaceutical industry required)
- 3+ years of experience in scientific/medical communications, publications, or relevant clinical research (PhD/Post-doc experience strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated success in developing RWE strategies, publications, and scientific communication plans
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodology, regulatory requirements, and good clinical practices
- Excellent scientific writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
- Proven ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail and integrity
- Experience with clinical study management and publications processes (preferred)
- Clinical research certification (e.g., CCRP, ACRP, PMP) is a plus

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance. The typical pay range for this position is $155,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, advanced degrees, and market conditions.
