We’re the largest privately held spine company and among the largest family-owned medical technology companies in the world, dedicated to innovation, surgeon partnerships, and improving patient outcomes in spine care. As a Senior Staff Clinical Evidence Scientist in our Clinical Affairs function within the Spine division, you’ll lead real-world evidence (RWE) generation and global publications and communications strategies — translating complex clinical data into compelling, compliant scientific materials that support regulatory, clinical, and commercial objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify, establish contracts with, and generate reports from relevant RWE databases and registries
  • Initiate and manage Investigator Initiated Studies, research contracts, and associated deliverables while ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards

  • Collaborate with clinicians and internal teams to generate protocols and support data mining for scientific and commercialization insights
  • Create high-quality, accurate, and compliant scientific communications assets for internal and external audiences (HCPs, KOLs, payors, etc.)
  • Coordinate publication planning, timing, and content strategy while ensuring alignment with business objectives and differentiation from competitors
  • Work cross-functionally with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and external partners to align evidence generation and dissemination
  • Develop and maintain dashboards tracking clinical data, research activities, milestones, and financials; present updates to internal stakeholders
  • Support evidence-led conversations with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders while maintaining full compliance
  • Identify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within the scientific communications function
  • Manage external vendors and ensure cost-effective development of materials in line with internal policies

What You Bring:

  • Ph.D. or other advanced degree in a health-related field (RN, BSN, BPharm, MD, MPH) is highly preferred
  • 6+ years of industry experience in clinical, healthcare, or medical affairs roles (medical device or pharmaceutical industry required)
  • 3+ years of experience in scientific/medical communications, publications, or relevant clinical research (PhD/Post-doc experience strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in developing RWE strategies, publications, and scientific communication plans
  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodology, regulatory requirements, and good clinical practices
  • Excellent scientific writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail and integrity
  • Experience with clinical study management and publications processes (preferred)
  • Clinical research certification (e.g., CCRP, ACRP, PMP) is a plus
