Born from a vision to harness the power of data, Montevideo Labs began its journey in 2016 in the vibrant tech scene of Montevideo, Uruguay. Founded by Maximo Gurmendez, the company set out to become a premier partner for businesses looking to navigate the complexities of the digital age. What started as a specialized team of engineers quickly grew into a top-rated data science and software development powerhouse, recognized for its deep expertise and unwavering commitment to client success. The team carved a niche for itself by building intelligent, data-driven products and offering high-quality, tailor-made solutions that spanned from initial design to full-scale deployment. Their proficiency in big data, machine learning, and critical software integrations, utilizing the latest technologies, attracted a portfolio of impressive clients, including industry leaders like Roku, Mastercard, and Tripadvisor.

The narrative of Montevideo Labs is one of growth, innovation, and partnership. They didn't just build software; they built relationships, embedding their talented engineers within client teams to tackle challenges head-on and drive meaningful results. This approach of staff augmentation and deep collaboration allowed them to deliver significant value, resulting in millions of dollars in cost savings and substantial revenue increases for their partners. Their reputation for unparalleled business ethics and technical excellence did not go unnoticed. In June 2023, this journey of independent success reached a new milestone when Montevideo Labs was acquired by BLEND360, a leading data science solutions provider. This acquisition marked the next chapter in their story, integrating their specialized skills into a larger global network, and amplifying their capacity to deliver transformative data solutions and continue their mission on a grander scale.
