The University of Ottawa is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the course Crime and the Media (CRM2314) for the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Kate Fletcher and will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including leading discussion groups, marking papers and exams, and proctoring exams. The position is synchronous, virtually, and the allocation of duty hours will be determined with the supervisor. Requirements
- BA Honours in Criminology or equivalent
- Must be available to work from June 22 to August 15, 2026
- Must be able to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
Benefits
- Paid at the rate of $31.89 or $50.25 per hour (depending on the student's status)
- Vacation pay and statutory pay are not included in the hourly rate
