The University of Ottawa (French: Université d'Ottawa), often referred to as uOttawa or U of O, is a bilingual public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The main campus spans 42.5 hectares (105 acres) directly northeast of Downtown Ottawa across the Rideau Canal in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood. Established in 1848 as the College of Bytown, the institution has evolved significantly, becoming the largest bilingual university in the world.

The university offers a diverse array of academic programs administered by ten faculties, including Arts, Law, Medicine, and Science, and is recognized as a member of the U15 group of research-intensive universities in Canada. With a rich history of over 175 years, uOttawa has not only contributed significantly to education and research but also elevated the status of bilingualism in higher education globally.
