Amazon Program Lead (Contract, 10–20 hrs/week)

Company: Phase 3 (digital agency)

Engagement: Part-time contract (10–20 hrs/week), remote
Location: Remote (must have strong English and reliable overlap with US Central Time)

Start: Immediate

About the Role

Phase 3 is hiring an Amazon Program Lead to own strategy and execution across client Amazon programs. You’ll be the point person for clients driving growth strategy, leading optimization and advertising, and translating results into clear weekly and monthly reporting. You’ll also coordinate daily with our offshore Amazon team to ensure actions align with strategy and timelines.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role in a dynamic environment. We’re looking for someone who can switch between executive-level communication and driving deep tactical work through an execution team without missing a beat.

What You’ll Do

  • Own channel strategy: Build and iterate 90-day roadmaps covering catalog, content, ads, pricing/promotions, and inventory/operations.
  • Optimize catalog & content: Listing hygiene, keyword research, SEO, A+ Content, Brand Store, image stacks, compliance/brand registry, variation strategy.
  • Lead advertising: Plan, launch, and scale Sponsored Products/Brands/Display; structure campaigns; optimize bids/negatives; manage budgets; (DSP a plus).
  • Drive performance reporting: Deliver weekly performance snapshots and monthly executive summaries with insights, actions, and next-step recommendations.
  • Coordinate offshore team: Assign work, review output, QA changes, and ensure tasks map to strategy and deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot operations: Suppressed listings, case management, Buy Box issues, IPI/in-stock, retail readiness.
  • Standardize & document: Create SOPs, naming conventions, and dashboards for repeatable, high-quality execution.

Success Metrics (You’ve moved the needle when…)

  • Revenue, sessions, and conversion rate trend up; ACOS/TACOS and ROAS meet targets.
  • Buy Box %, in-stock rate, and IPI improve or are maintained within thresholds.
  • Catalog health (suppression, duplicates, variation integrity) materially improves.
  • Stakeholders get crisp, on-time weekly and monthly reporting with actionable insights.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years hands-on with Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central (both ideal).
  • Proven results managing $20k–$250k+ monthly ad spend and hitting efficiency targets.
  • Fluency with Amazon Ads Console, bulk operations, and search term reporting.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Helium 10 / Jungle Scout / Pacvue / Perpetua (or similar).
  • Strong reporting chops in Google Sheets/Excel (pivots, lookups) and Looker Studio (or similar).
  • Excellent client communication—can present to executives and keep a calm, proactive cadence.
  • Experience leading offshore teams and enforcing SOPs/QA.
  • Reliable availability for US Central Time overlap.

Nice to Have

  • DSP planning/execution; retail analytics; API/bulk automation; basic image copy guidance; international marketplaces.

Time & Terms

  • 10–20 hours/week, initial 3-month contract with renewal based on performance.
  • Hourly contract via Upwork (please include your hourly rate and typical availability window).

Deliverables & Cadence (What we expect)

  • Weekly (client-facing):
    • KPI snapshot (Revenue, Sales Units, Sessions, CVR, ACOS/TACOS, ROAS, Ad Spend)
    • Top wins, top losses, quick commentary (why it happened), next 3–5 actions
    • Open risks/blockers and asks
  • Monthly (exec-level):
    • Goal vs. actuals with narrative insights and trend charts
    • Budget pacing, efficiency analysis, and category/keyword growth
    • Project roadmap status, upcoming tests, and resourcing needs

How to Apply

Please begin your note with “AMZ-Lead-Phase3” and include:

  1. 1–2 case studies with before/after metrics (revenue, ACOS/TACOS, ROAS, CVR).
  2. Your hourly rate, weekly availability, and time-zone overlap with US Central.
  3. Example screenshots or redacted weekly/monthly reports you’ve produced.
  4. Tools you use (ads, research, QA, reporting) and your typical SOP approach.
