Position Summary
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center’s (OSUCCC) Total Cancer Care Program (TCCP) is a satellite protocol site of the Oncology Research Information Exchange Network (ORIEN), a national collaborative consortium of cancer centers for the purpose of building a large-scale repository of biospecimens and associated clinical and genomic data to support, enhance and accelerate research activities across the country. The Project Manager is responsible for managing all data and biospecimen processes for investigator requests and special projects associated with TCCP and OSUCCC’s involvement in ORIEN. This includes conducting a review of all applications received for Total Cancer Care biospecimens and/or data to assure that the applications are complete and clear; assessing inventory and availability of specimens and data; managing the review process by the TCCP research committee (and other committees as appropriate); following up with requestors to clarify requests and communicate outcomes; working with CCC Data Support staff as needed. This individual will also serve as the Data System Expert for purposes of the OSU Honest Broker process for TCCP working closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with the honest broker policy. This position will be responsible for managing special projects associated with TCCP, including developing project plans with deliverables and milestones, tracking progress, identifying and removing barriers, and communicating progress. The Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison/interface with internal and external collaborating groups to monitor progress toward goals and obtain regular updates to include in dashboard/project updates. The Project Manager will create and disseminate TCCP and project-specific reports and dashboards for use by TCCP Operations Team, OSUCCC Senior Leadership Team and ORIEN. The Project Manager will provide information and metrics from feedback questionnaires for purposes of process improvement. This position works closely with the TCCP Principal Investigator, Director of Clinical Research Operations, TCCP Operations Director, the OSU Department of Pathology, TCCP Administrative & BSSR Biobanking staff. They will also have communication with OSU and external investigators, ORIEN members, and other internal and external research entities. The Project Manager will develop and distribute regular reports to faculty disease groups related to TCC key statistics and special projects and benchmark against project commitments. They will conduct feasibility assessments on proposed projects and run the weekly project update meeting. Responsible for providing data for annual reports, grants and other progress reports as needed. Participates in establishing and implementing policies, procedures and SOPS related to TCC and ORIEN. Interacts with OSUCCC shared resources as needed, particularly the BSSR and RISSR.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Biological Sciences or related field is required; 2 years of clinical research and/or laboratory experience required; Master’s Degree preferred. Project management experience desired, preferably translational or health services research projects; Data review and data reporting, data collection and data entry experience required; knowledge of tissue procurement techniques and anatomic pathology desired; knowledge of medical terminology; highly organized with attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates the initiative and ability to provide useful feedback in a professional manner; Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office products, excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel; MS SQL Server Management Studio and SQL databases experience desirable; REDCap experience highly desirable; Experience working with diverse groups of professional personnel in a complex, matrix environment is desired.
