Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Remote Electrical Estimator with a strong background in electrical systems and switch-based work. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, with a focus on switchgear, electrical distribution systems, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid electrical engineering foundation combined with proven estimating experience and familiarity working with U.S.-based companies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive electrical cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
  • Analyze electrical plans, switchgear systems, and distribution components to determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Review project documents, blueprints, and technical specifications to identify cost factors and risks.
  • Develop detailed takeoffs and quantity surveys for electrical systems and switch-based components.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and ensure estimate accuracy.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, vendor pricing, and labor rates.
  • Assist in bid preparation and submission for electrical projects.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
  • Ensure estimates comply with U.S. electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
  • Perform other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably with switchgear and electrical distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, switch-based work, and construction estimating principles.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies, projects, or standards highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail).
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, reliable, self-motivated, confident, and quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours.
  • Interested in long-term career opportunities.
  • Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.

Compensation & Benefits:
