Summary The Product Manager, Chemistries and Cleaning Verification is responsible for managing their portfolio, ensuring its growth, profitability, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. Leveraging an understanding of market trends, customer needs, and business requirements, the Product Manager will work cross-functionally with teams including product development, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, sales, and finance to drive the success of their product category. In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity To
- Develop and execute product strategy and portfolio lifecycle management efforts from voice of customer research to new product planning, introduction, optimization and retirement. You will leverage market opportunities and customer needs inform business goals and priorities.
- Identify market opportunities through primary and secondary research, leveraging customer feedback, clinical insights, and competitive analysis. This role is responsible for translating findings into actionable product and portfolio strategies and tactics.
- Bring a deep understanding of market trends and customer requirements around endoscope reprocessing & instrument cleaning including point of use products, manual cleaning chemistries, automated washing chemistries, high-level disinfectants, understanding regulatory requirements, governing body guidelines, cleaning and reprocessing methodologies, customer challenges and solutions available in the market.
- Manage global revenue and profitability for your product category/categories, demonstrating strong financial acumen in forecasting, pricing, and deal structures, and investment decisions. You will assess strategic options and make recommendations to drive sustainable growth.
- Partner with various cross functional team members in R&D, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams to develop, launch, and support your products. You will influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment across functions, regions, and channels.
- Ensure all promotional, launch, and marketing activities align with your defined portfolio strategy. You will utilize market trends and customer segmentation to develop targeted offerings and go-to-market plans.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert and voice of the customer for your portfolio, translating needs into requirements. You will support commercial activities through involvement in trade groups and key opinion leaders and provide training and support to drive adoption.
- Continuously assess product performance and market trends to refine your portfolio strategy, and make data-driven decisions to maintain competitiveness, improve profitability, and maximize market impact.
What You Need to Succeed in This Position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and portfolio management
- Ability to manage product lifecycle including launch, growth, and retirement, including product development processes
- Deep understanding of the endoscope reprocessing and instrument cleaning markets, including guidelines, methodologies, and customer needs
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Experience managing projects within cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work with key stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills and comfort in ambiguity
- General familiarity working within quality systems and FDA regulatory knowledge, preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
