As a Backend Engineer at TailorMed, you won’t just build services — you’ll power the core engine that breaks financial barriers to care. The systems you design will directly impact millions of patients by enabling affordable treatment at scale, and you’ll take true ownership of the technology driving this mission.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be part of a highly talented and fast-moving engineering team, building and scaling products that directly impact patients’ access to care.
• As a backend engineer, you’ll design, implement, and optimize complex, high-scale systems — combining deep technical ownership with hands-on development in a cloud-native environment.
• You’ll work with a modern stack (Node.js, AWS, and other leading technologies) and use AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
• Your role will include designing new product capabilities from the ground up, evolving existing architectures, and driving end-to-end solutions — from technical design to production rollout.
• You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and data experts to shape the next generation of TailorMed’s platform.
• We’re looking for someone who thrives in solving complex problems, loves exploring new technologies, and takes pride in writing clean, efficient, and impactful code.

Requirements

• Solid experience and passion for software engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of backend experience in Node.js / Java / Python or similar
• Proficiency with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or others)
• Knowledge in architecture and design of scalable and high-performance complex distributed systems
• Proven experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and development velocity
• Strong analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and high coding standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills
