Papua New Guinea onlySvitzer is seeking an Electro-Technical Officer to join their team in Port Moresby, PNG, on a fixed-term full-time basis. The successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, control, and automation systems onboard vessels. The role involves ensuring the safe and reliable operation of power generation, distribution, monitoring, and DP2 systems.
Requirements
- Valid Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency III/6 or III/7 (ETO Rating / Electrician) with relevant vessel experience
- Proven experience maintaining electrical, electronic, and automation systems on vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical power systems, PLCs, automation, and control systems
- Experience with navigation, communication, and safety equipment maintenance
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and safe systems of work
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a marine environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with onboard and shore-based teams
- Flexibility and resilience to work rotating swings in a remote operational environment
