Job Description:
The Vice Principal is the pro-active leader who maintains administrative and education standards of a campus during their leadership time, reporting to the Campus Principal. This position will support the Campus Principal for all aspects of ongoing business operations at the Fibonacci Virtual campus online and in-person. Only applicants who are legally eligible to work in Canada can apply.

Education:
A degree from a recognized college or university is required. A Bachelor of Education is an asset, but not necessary.
Responsibilities:
The Vice Principal has the following responsibilities:
- Comply and maintain Spirit of Math brand and teaching standards
- Comply to all Spirit of Math policies and procedures
- Facilitate summer camps
- Work with the Principal to help conduct any campus events
- Create an encouraging and engaging learning environment.
- Engage with teachers, parents, and students on a continuous basis to foster and maintain a strong sense of community.
- Address any issues identified by parents and teachers in a professional and timely manner
- Answer emails and phone calls.
- Help to arrange make-up classes and transfers of students.
- Work with the Principal to help maintain and provide necessary campus and classroom resources and inventory for staff.
- Attend all annual Training Conferences, Regional Workshops and any mandatory SoM events.
- Attend Grade Specific Training/Meetings and Professional Developments sessions to increase knowledge of the Spirit of Math and Spirit of English curricula.
- Monitor the health and safety of personnel at campus.
- Conduct Assistant Teacher training and assist teacher training as needed.
- Deliver multiple assigned online lessons, bringing subject expertise, instructional leadership, and enthusiasm to create impactful learning experiences and support student success.
- Have regular meetings with the principal to maintain strong communication and to ensure a strong working relationship.
- In collaboration with the Principal, the Vice Principal will develop and independently execute a sales and marketing plan to promote virtual classes to prospective clients outside of Canada. This role offers the opportunity to shape global outreach efforts, expand Spirit of Math’s international presence, and drive enrollment through innovative and targeted campaigns.
- Regularly watch classroom sessions and assess teaching practices, providing constructive feedback and personalized coaching to help teachers grow in their roles and deliver exceptional learning experiences.
- Any other administrative tasks as assigned, including conducting contests, drafting newsletters, and supervising shipment of handouts.
- Other duties as needed to support evolving business needs.
The Vice Principal has the following authorities:
- Assisting the principal in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campus
- Assisting in hiring, assigning tasks, evaluating, mentoring, and helping with decisions regarding teachers, substitute teachers, administrative assistants, and assistant teachers.
- Supporting the Principal in the selection and termination process for teachers Interviewing, accepting and registering suitable students for the campus, including assisting the principal of the campus during the time the Vice Principal is working
- Assisting the Principal in ensuring that training needed for their campus staff has been organized and followed through
- Assisting in setting yearly campus class schedules
- Helping to oversee housekeeping and maintenance services
- Addressing and resolving client inquiries and complains in collaborating with the principal
- Assisting in training and supervising teaching staff to ensure alignment with the company’s educational standards and objectives
- Executing targeted marketing and sales strategies designed to meet campus enrollment goals.

Travel Requirement:
Required to travel to a local Spirit of Math office at least once a week for in-person meetings and tasks. Travel will also be required to attend mandatory conferences, trainings, and other events as scheduled.
Hours of Work:
Typical work hours will be 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern Time, Tuesdays to Saturdays. These are subject to change with changes in assigned responsibilities. Occasionally, due to contests, marketing events, etc., there may be a deviation from these hours.
