Project Engineer

What will you work on?
As part of the Asia Operations Team, you will report to the Manager, Engineering in carrying out full product development activities and provide engineering support at vendors for engineering builds and debug to meet the product specifications, cost and schedule.

How will you create impact?

• To work with vendors and Headquarter on the product design to hit the target cost.

• To carry out product development, engineering, and debug to meet product specifications and aesthetic requirements.

• To handle the consigned material, and special components sourcing and cost negotiation.

• To provide technical support and debug as needed on consigned materials

• To provide support to internal groups on any production output issues and material authorization review.

• To monitor the schedule and provide on-site support from development start to OSD.

• To provide manufacturing support as needed after Production Start.

• Perform ad hoc assignments as requested.

What are your skills and experience?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics Electrical or related Engineering discipline
• Over 5 years’ working experience preferably in toy industry and able to manage project independently
• Knowledge and experience in Plush toy engineering, Plush toys’ textile and related soft goods materials are required.
• Basic understanding of tooling construction, injection molding parameters, decoration methods, and assembly packing processes
• Basic knowledge of plastic packaging materials in terms of characteristics and types.
• Strong project management skills with ability to conduct and lead project meeting independently.
• Able to review concept drawings, 3D models and provide engineering inputs to improve product design and/or mitigate potential Quality issues.
• Hand on experience in handling fashion dolls / licenced products and understand the licensor’s approval processes.
• Good command of English language and communication skills.
