Australia onlyWe are seeking an experienced MUD Technician to support Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations by managing the drilling fluid (mud) system to maximise drilling performance, maintain bore stability, and ensure environmental compliance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a MUD Technician/Drilling Fluids Technician on HDD, pipeline crossings, or similar fluid-managed drilling environments.
- Strong working knowledge of drilling fluid systems, mixing and solids control, and the practical application of fluid testing and treatment.
- Ability to read and follow drilling fluid programs, understand basic borehole hydraulics concepts, and adapt treatment plans to ground changes.
- High commitment to safety, environmental compliance and disciplined documentation.
- Competency to carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting on pumps, hoses, valves and mixing equipment.
