The Finance Analyst plays a critical role across both commercial analytics and manufacturing/plant costing. This position requires a u Finance Financenique blend of operational insight and commercial acumen, supporting customer and product profitability, pricing, promotional effectiveness, and margin improvement. The role partners closely with Sales, Category, Operations, and Plant Finance teams to deliver insight-driven decision-making, maintain reliable financial datasets, and enhance analytical tools that enable scalable, accurate, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Analytics
- Own and manage full customer and product P&Ls, delivering clear insights and performance drivers.
- Partner with Commercial teams to analyse pricing, promotional ROI, investment spend, and customer profitability.
- Provide deep analysis on margin drivers, mix shifts, cost movements and opportunities for improvement.
- Support monthly and weekly commercial performance cycles: forecasts, results, variance analysis and exec-ready insights.
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Own and maintain manufacturing standard costs, ensuring accurate and timely updates across materials, labour, overheads and yields.
- Partner with Plant Finance to deliver variance analysis, including production, material usage, labour efficiency and yield performance.
- Act as cover for product costing when required, ensuring accurate NPD/EPD product costings.
Pricing, Rebates & Core Financial Data Ownership
- Own key elements of customer pricing, including rebates, discounts, promotional mechanics and trade investment inputs.
- Ensure high-quality, reliable core financial data for use across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Maintain pricing models and integrate cost changes, commercial strategies and customer agreements.
Reporting & Cover Responsibilities
- Act as cover for weekly management results reporting, ensuring continuity of high-quality insights and commentary when primary owners are unavailable.
- Support budget, forecast and results cycles across revenue, COGS, distribution, and trading margin.
Systems, Tools & Automation
• Build and enhance business systems, tools and analytical models to support:
- Manufacturing variance analysis
- Labour analysis
- Promotional and trade spend analytics
- Margin and mix insights
- Cost-to-serve and SKU profitability
• Improve data flows, processes and automation to reduce manual work and improve reliability across Finance and Commercial teams.
• Develop dashboards and digital assets (Power BI, Excel models, SQL datasets, etc.) that drive self-service insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, Sales Analytics, Manufacturing Finance, or Cost Accounting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and commercial drivers.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is an advantage.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Category, Procurement, or Manufacturing teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into practical commercial insights.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
