Overview:
SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for a Payroll Specialist.
We need a true, experienced, and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.
Purpose of the role:
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across multiple international locations by managing end-to-end payroll processes, collaborating with local partners and vendors, maintaining reliable payroll accounting records, and providing insightful analysis and reporting to support effective business decision-making and employee satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
Process payroll for multiple international locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate with local accountants and external payroll vendors to manage end-to-end payroll operations
Prepare and validate payroll data, including employee lists, accruals, deductions, and bonuses
Maintain payroll accounting records and support management accounting reporting
Analyze payroll data, costs, and trends to support business decision-making
Ensure accurate posting of payroll-related entries in internal accounting systems
Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers, providing clear explanations and support
Support salary changes, bonus calculations, and compensation adjustments in line with company policies
Prepare internal reports and documentation (including salary certificates and management reports)
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within payroll and reporting workflows
Required Experience:
Higher education (Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred)
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in international companies
Solid understanding of payroll processes, accounting principles
Experience working with payroll/accounting systems (e.g., 1C, SAP, ADP, Workday, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail (critical for payroll roles)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with HR and Finance teams
English level: Intermediate+
Russian level: Intermediate+
Nice to have:
Experience with multi-country payroll and Employer of Record (EOR) models
Experience in process automation and ERP system improvements
Knowledge of management accounting and payroll cost analysis
