PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Customer Project Manager is responsible for providing quality and timely delivery of inverters and Medium Voltage stations to utility scale projects in North America. Duties include managing project scope and station integration, delivering inverter solutions to meet specific customer needs, supporting customer negotiations and installation projects, and serving as a primary point of contact for EPC partners and station integrators. This role is open to candidates located anywhere in the continental United States. Candidates local to our Rocklin, CA headquarters are welcome to work in a hybrid capacity.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the scope, schedule, and cost basis for utility scale project proposals.
  • Coordinate with the Sales department to communicate customer and client needs and to negotiate contracts and order changes.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning and Medium Voltage station integration.
  • Monitor and provide reports on task completion and forecasting of project milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer and measure success from the customer's perspective.
  • Trigger effective and timely PO and invoice activities.
  • Build and maintain partner relationships with EPCs and station integrators.
  • Identify and complete process improvement projects.
  • Own decisions related to the project and maintain partial project budget responsibility.
  • Other duties as may be required or assigned.

REQUIRED RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience required.
  • Experience in renewable energy preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical background preferred.
  • Basic Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM) is a plus.

OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • Proven project leadership skills required; people leadership experience not required.
  • Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to lead and present in customer-facing meetings.
  • Knowledge of contracts and legal documentation required.
  • Ability to manage execution and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to manage details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build networks across different cultures, locally and over distance including the U.S., LATAM, and HQ in Germany.
  • Structured and independent working style with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to facilitate effective meetings.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required. German and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint is required.
  • Monday.com experience preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy sector preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • This position may require periodic domestic and international travel.
