Serve Robotics is looking for a Sr. Sustaining Electrical Engineer to lead the support and enhancement of the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of electrical systems within our robotic platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design or sustaining engineering in robotics or complex electromechanical systems.
- Proven experience with structured FA techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis).
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design, including sensors, motor drivers, and power electronics.
- Skilled in use of lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters, multimeters, etc.).
- Proficient in ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD) and PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Agile).
- Experience with EMI/ESD troubleshooting and system-level validation.
- Hands-on experience with robotic or automation systems preferred.
- Effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes for PCBAs, cable assemblies, and embedded systems.
- Exposure to regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., CE, UL, FCC) is a plus.
