RQ09050 - Technology Architect - Senior

Description

Architect will work with existing system operations and development team to understand the existing data structures, physical data model, integration schemas etc. This knowledge will be applied to develop and design new APIs and related technical schemas and designs in consultation with the business area. Architect will also work with development team to design better data extract functionality from on-prem system to cloud environment.

Responsibilities: Develops, recommends, implements and manages the data and technical architecture which will be used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.

General Skills: Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience level Extensive experience with at least three different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols Experience with middleware and gateways Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL and is able to guide others using this methodology Experience translating business requirements into reporting needs Experience preparing conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data models Experience developing, recommending, implementing and managing technical architecture.

Experience and General (25%)

• Experience developing baseline architectures, API and integration models, data mapping from data base fields to APIs
• Experience leading the delivery and design of architecture in collaboration with project implementation activities
• Extensive hands on experience with different database systems
• Extensive experience building API schemas and specifications and mapping them to database fields and requirements
• Experience working directly with clients to develop data and integration requirements
• Experience working directly with clients to effective working relationships, obtain buy-in for systems design and development, promote design and architecture options of systems to senior management and stakeholders, to obtain decision making.
• Experience with stakeholders and clients to advise on technical issues.
• You can encourage participation in the systems analysis, design and implementation process.
• You can provide advice and recommendations to stakeholders, management, and staff regarding most effective design, architecture, and system implementation strategies.
• You can provide guidance and training to project teams on design, architecture, and project implementation activities.

Technical Skills (30%)

• Data design for data products to be provided through APIs to other vendors
• Hands on, in depth understanding and practical knowledge of Azure technologies (Synapse, ADF, Databricks, etc)
• Data models and related architecture
• API and schema design
• ETL design for delta extracts from an existing system
• Expertise in the delivery of project and baseline architecture, specifically Business and Information architecture domains, IT strategies, enterprise architecture principles/methodologies/ Frameworks and guidelines for Enterprise Architecture artefacts/processes.
• Strong expertise and experience in business and modelling, business and data analysis, and business/information architecture.
• Experience in delivering and reviewing architecture artefacts Knowledge of business process & data modelling, analysis, re-engineering.

Communication Skills (15%)

• Strong communication skills to prepare documentation, including but not limited to; reports, reviews, assessments
• Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively and in a user friendly manner; maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients

Must Have:
